Memorial

Friends,

You have humbled and amazed me and my family with all your comments.  There are no words to express the gratitude we feel for all your well wishes and prayers. Thank you.

My mom asked me to write.  She wanted you all to know that Rene had a beautiful memorial.  Yesterday was a difficult day, but we had a wonderful tribute to my sister.  The room was filled with people who laughed and cried as we remembered  her.

Rene touched so many lives.  I pray for each one of you that through my sister's life and death you have had a life altering experience.  Don't take anything for granted.  Life is precious and short.  Love the good times and learn from the bad.  Be a blessing to those around you and you will feel blessed.

May you always feel the love of God.  He has a perfect plan for us all.

With much love and gratitude,
Pamela

Rene DID touch many, we loved her, & will always carry a small peice of her in our hearts.
Let your Mom know how grateful we are for the update re the Memorial...altho unable to be there in person, many of us were here in spirit.
We feel blessed to have known her, even if only through the internet.
If I can ever help in any way, please email me.

Pamela, Irene's (Princess) Mom & Dad:
I worked with Rene at Capital Womens Care for the short time she was at our office.  My husband and I also helped her move to her last apartment, before she moved on to Anderson.  The short time your sister/daughter work with me (am the older one of the group 55), she brought so much love, laughter, friendship, and an over abundance of faith into my life.  She just totally amazed me from the start!   I learned to slow down and not sweat the small stuff!!! Enjoy life to its fullest....I enjoy watching God's beautiful world (stars, snowflakes, ocean waves
etc.) !  One of our favorite programs we use to talk about was Joel Osteen! I had even gotten her a ticket to go see him in DC one year.  She had a couple of bad days and didn't get to go.  Yes, your sister/daughter has touched so many lives and all ages....She now has such a beautiful set of Princess Irene Angel Wings  with that beautiful smile of hers.....God Bless Your Family.   Your sister/daughter will always be in my thoughts, prayers and we all have learned so much from her.
Thanks for sharing her with me....Ms Pammy (as she called me)

Thank you for letting us know about Rene's memorial. I have been thinking about her a lot and I have felt so helpless not knowing how her family was doing.
Your right, she did touch many lives. I found myself checking her journal daily to see how she was and she was such and inspiration. I loved hearing about your family dinners and your Aunts and Uncles coming for visits.  She was a wonderful person and I will miss her.  God bless you and your family.
Take care,
Trish

Pam, Mom, & Dad,
The memorial service was absolutely beautiful. We celebrated her life with laughter and tears just as she would've wanted.  I cannot even put into words what Irene meant to me.  Although we were only friends for a few short years, it never fealt that way.  We always laughed and made the most out of every moment together even throught the bad times and hospital visits.  She was the most amazing and inspirational person that I have ever known.  I hope that I have learned from her to be the best that I can be in life and live everyday to the fullest no matter what gets thrown my way.  Please know that I am here for all of you if anything is ever needed and I can't wait to see you again as our visit today and yesterday was so short.  Thank you for welcoming me into your family and for all of your hospitality.  I look forward to celebrating this June and everyone after.........my prayers and hugs go out to you.

Love,
Michelle

I love you all. Your strength and grace is amazing. I really thought, once again that I was holding it together alright but I type thru tears. We all know shes around in some way or another because...well...she makes it known. Ok, time to brush off the tears  and go on with it. I love you and I miss you Rene. But we'll talk about all that later.
Love,
Your Best Friend,

Hello, I've popped over from princessaurora's place to give my condolences.  I've just read your sister's sidebar here.  Moved me to tears.  What a beautiful creature.  She and I would have become very good friends.  And...she was right...I can see from just this tiny little bit of her life...just what's in her sidebar...she touched many people in a beautiful way, with her positive light...no matter the lessons she may have had to learn herself.  Hugs and prayers to the extended you. ;)  C.

Pamela, Mom and Dad, and Family,

There truly are no words to describe Reeknee.  She is the most incredible woman I have ever met in my life.  She will forever and I mean that FOREVER live in my heart and life.  She played a HUGE role in my life as my best closest friend.  She amazed me with her ongoing strength.  Although we had so many plans you're right, time is short.  Those plans her and I will work on one of these days.  I'm glad she's comfortable and in complete peace.  The Pastor at my church has sent his condolences along with informing my church family of her passing as Reeknee has been on the prayer request list for quite some time now.
Please email me your information and allow me to do whatever I can for the family if anything.  Also, please know that come June we will indeed celebrate Reeknee's life.  I know she always looked forward to her birthday each and every year.  As did her friends.  She will be incredibly missed.  My heart aches knowing I can't reach for the phone to call her.  I so badly want to just hear her voice.  Just to hear that laugh.  And here come the tears.  Life isn't easy and during death certainly goes under that category.  Email me please at FlamingScent@comcast.net.  We'll definately be in touch soon.
Thanks for everything Pam.  You are one INCREDIBLY STRONG SISTER!  You are amazing too.
I love you all so very much.
Love Always,
RED aka Heather.
Along with Charles and Isabella "Izzy".

Nine years have passed with Rene waiting at the breakfast table. Several of us, J-landers, have joined her. Until our time comes, we remember her forever.
